First off, I have to say that I'm floored by the amount of support I have received for these. To be able to be successful in getting so much more notice for all of the superlative music in the Showcase is thrilling enough. But to have so many positive comments from my Jam Session peers is humbling beyond belief.

It seems there is a 200 MB limit for cheapskate... um, I mean frugal switchpod users who registered for free, so as I get more Prezcasts out I'll eventually start removing older ones unless I can find another host site.

Why not just create a new soundclick account for them? Then you have unlimited storage yes?

Soundclick has a 10MB per file limit unless your a premium user, I believe. My 'casts clock in at around 35 MB a piece. Unless I'm wrong about that, I would have to split each one into quarters.

These are cool, prez. Very good to see you with your own reserved parking spot. since your going to be deleting the old ones, I am gonna have to dl them (I hope thats possible) I havent had the chance to sit thru one whole one due to work related distractions.

Again, if anyone ever needs one no longer hosted on the site, a PM will be all it takes. I shouldn't run out of room until I have 6 or 7 up on switchpod, I think.

To all of you who have shown interest in the next Prezcast, first I'd like to say thanks for your support. It's very gratifying, humbling, and even a bit daunting to know that what started as a humbly simple attempt to get more Showcase traffic has become such a sought-after mainstay of this awesome website. Secondly, I'd like to pass on that I am well into the process of making the next one. There's a lot of "pre-work" that has to go into this sort of thing so it doesn't sound like ham-fisted, meandering garbage. The biggest problem I'm having is sorting through the TONS of great material in the Showcase. I am starting on page 55 and working my way forward to page 1. There's enough stuff in here to keep me busy for weeks. I expect to have the next Prezcast available by the end of this week, if not sooner. Finally, I'd like to remind everyone that all you have to do to get featured on a 'cast is PM me the link to your Showcase entry. Pointing me towards entries by others that you have enjoyed is also appreciated; this is extremely helpful. Many thanks to the people who have already helped by submitting their requests.

One final note - please don't feel shorted if you PM me a Showcase link that doesn't get played in the next 'cast. I PROMISE that if you take the time to PM me, you WILL get featured in a future one, even if it is not the next immediate one. One of the things I try to do is include all different kinds of music in each cast so that there is something for all tastes. To that end, I might push a song to another 'cast in the interest of balance.

Hello my friends! It's been a while. I thought I'd drop in and shed a bit of light on the recent drought of my 'prezcasts'.

I won't go into specifics, but around the time that Cyber Cobra reworked the site for the new server around the end of last year my life basically fell apart. 'In a perfect storm of events, my job, my marriage, my family, and my mental health all fell to pieces at the same time. While I respect those who talk about personal problems in Open Mic, being a private person I am not one to discuss issues with my personal life openly, so instead I basically fell out of sight.

I have always looked at Jam Session differently than other web forums that I belong to. To be perfectly honest, I haven't really stopped frequenting other sites of which I am a member through all of this. So why not Jam Session? Because while I am a hobbyist about many things (I belong to a firearms forum, a PC Game forum, a computer tech forum, and a political forum), music is much more serious passion for me. I began the 'prezcasts' because of that passion. I was "feeling the music", a deep connection far stronger than just the simple interests in the other hobbies I enjoy like shooting, playing games, building PC's, and talking politics. In other words, I was "loving the music". Without the "love", I simply cannot dedicate enough of myself to doing the music in 'prezcasts' justice. When my life took the horrible turn it did, I lost the intense passion I felt in making and sharing music that inspired me to participate in the showcase and create the 'prezcast' in the first place.

While I don't get paid for it, I still feel obliged to apologize to the Jam Session members, who are of a higher caliber than anywhere else on the net, for letting the 'prezcasts' lapse. I feel like I have let down not only the people who listen to the 'prezcasts', but also the people who bare their musical souls and share their music, indeed share a part of themselves, for all of us to enjoy. I have been remiss in not helping you get your music out to as many people as possible, and for that I apologize. To all who have supported me in my venture and listened and enjoyed the 'prezcast' and took time out to say so in the past, I apologize. To Cyber Cobra and the mods, who gave me my own forum section and tried to expand their support even further to giving me my own blog, I apologize. I am certainly grateful for all that you guys did.

I am working very hard to get my life back together and regain the passion that drove to me to become a member of this very special place and to begin the 'prezcast'. It is a long process, but you will know when I have been successful when I put out another 'prezcast' for all to (hopefully) enjoy.

Jeez, Prez, certainly no one is gonna fault you for falling off the radar for a bit with all of THAT stuff going down in your personal life. The Prezcast is a really lovely addition to the Jam Session, but getting your own life in order obviously needs to come first.
