I decided, over the weekend, that I did not like the sweep on my wah. so I opened it up and I removed the screw that holds the toothed strip against (NO CLUE WHAT TO CALL THIS THING :D) the potentiomenter and then I adjusted the pot to give me a different sweep. In my case when my wah was in the full back position my tone had so much low end that it actually effected the strength of my signal. So I adjusted it so that I would get more treble than before and the sweep is now alot more useable than it was.
All you'll need is a phillips head screw driver.
just make sure that your sweep will be able to travel the full length of the pedal and it wont be stopped by the potentiometer.

This sounds really interesting, but for complete n00bs like me who has never done anything like this, would ya wanna break it down a bitī?

basically the gear strip that is attached to the rocker pedal turns a knob inside the pedal. This is the exact same thing as turning the MID knob on your amp up and down. This gear strip can only turn the knob so far (basically it can only turn your knob from say 1-6, but instead of 1-6, you can change its so it turns the knob from 3-8 or 2-7or 4-9 5-10 etc.) so, you can change what part is adjust by the rocker pedal. Get it?

Yeah, this is a worthwhile mod, I have done this also, very easy and Free!
I do find that the Crybaby is useless in the fully rear position, so a little adjustment does help it become a better pedal in my opinion.

Essentially, A wah pedal is a 'Tone' knob, just on the floor and foot controlled.
So the rocker pedal controls the tone pot by (what I call) a 'Rack and Pinion' (just like a steering column on a car).
It IS an easy way to get the highs you think you might be missing from your wah.

Aha, I see so I should unscrew the white plastic thingy : http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h79/ZampraZ/wahswitch.jpg and move the stick that comes from the top part, and move it? Which way should I move it?
This is full rear position

thanks for the pic zampz that will help others...
So you unscrew the plastic thing and you pull the stick away from the pot, then you adjust the pot so that the "stick" can adjust a different sweep than before. Just back sure that the pedal has a full sweep in both directions so that the pot doesnt bottom out in either direction. then just put it all back together.

I've done that mod to a couple wahs before. It's a really simple way to change the color of the tone. Cool suggestion.
