New here - great site

So pleased I found this excellent site, its a great help.

I've been playing for ages but only recently started seriously. Cant believe how much I've had to re-learn!

I'm from Leeds in the UK, apparently the fastest growing city in the UK! My musical tastes are pretty wide, but usually any guitar based music. My early influences though were Zeppelin (Ah Knebworth '79, happy days), Purple etc.

As for equipment, well during my 20 minutes every month days (which lasted about 10 years :eek: ) I had a pretty reasonable Les Paul copy, a Vintage I think its called. My life changed however when I bought a second user USA Strat. Walking into the room and seeing it just makes me want to play it. I've also got a boss effects rack and as for amplification just a small Line6 practice amp.

I'm currently jamming with a friend who's been playing drums for about 6 months and another friend who is a **** hot guitarist (especially acoustic) but plays bass with us. Its a daunting experience! We've even got a provisional band name, Dead mans KitKat. Please don't ask why, its a very long story.
