Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been playing since I was a kid, but really am getting back into it again. In the 70's I gigged around a bit, playing in a couple of bands, and mostly acoustic solo and a couple of duet acts (pretty girls who can sing are ALWAYS welcome in any bar ... grin!).

I still use an older Takamine EF-349 (the Martin D-17 mahogany knock-off), and recently bought a minty used Breedlove AD20/SR Plus. Also picked up a couple of new mics (Shure 57 and 58) and a Fender Acoustasonic amp. Picked up a Tascam US-144 for recording to my computer using Cubase LE. I used to be a pretty good keyboard player and am considering a small synth (Korg X50 is a likely contender), or maybe just a midi controller if I beef up my computing power.

I'm staring at an early retirement, and if my mind doesn't go soft and my fingers don't get arthritic I'll probably spend a few nights playing and singing in some quiet bar, coffeehouse, or nursing home (if my mind does turn to jelly), or something.

Nice to be here, thanks for holding the door open ...
