I'm new so here's an intro. I'm from London, England. My name is Alex. I am 17.
With that said and done my guitaring began this Christmas just gone. I'm waiting to go to college so I was and still am playing throughout the day. My trusty Freshman acoustic steel-string is behind me.
I used to play trumpet years ago, but never really took to it. But I love playing guitar so much I joined this site and already have two guitars (one electric, one classical) on top of the steel string I got for Xmas. And on my 18th Bday next month I'll be getting another electric, a Jazz style one but not sure which. Looking at a Hofner Verithin CT at the mo.
Anyways I'm currently learning Blackbird by the beatles. I can do all the "standard" chords, F shapes, Bb shapes, and open chords.
I'm in a band called The Wimps. Nothing recorded yet but will keep you posted.

ill take some pics for ya! i'm jus kinda ashamed cos im a perfectionist at everything i do so i cant wait to get my new guitar (looking like it'll be this (http://www.macaris.co.uk/product_full.asp?productID=655&typeID=7&catID=1) hofner)
I cant find it anywhere but that shop, but playing it was (to me) amasing. the slide was just incredible to barr chords up at down the fret board and the action was great. I think I'd lower it slightly but I could tell it would be an enjoyable play.
Anyways I'll have pics up before long dont worry!

It's a Freshman something steel string. Here's some more pics:

You can see I'm very neat when string my guitars! I always use 10 gauge on either electric or acoustic.

Again, 10 guage... very neat!
These are all pics of my guitars, none are just off google or anything, I just took em. As for my classical, it's been mistreated I really need to sort it out with new strings etc before I can play it so I wont post it now.

Very beautiful guitars. Thanks a lot for the pics. I favor the acoustic, although i'd choose acoustic over electric anyday :D

The acoustic is great! It's got perfect action right down the fret board. My electric isn't as good, but it's cos I play in a band and I need to hear myself over the drums. I'm sure you've all been there.

Yeah and the drums is thinking he needs to be the loudest, common sense tells you that you ty to be the loudest in practice :D

I have also got a recording of my acoustic here, but it's not my whole band it's more of a demo but hey! It'll give an idea of what it sounds like. The singer comes in a bit out of tune but bare with it. My mate and I wrote it together.
He really takes off with the singing during the first chorus, I didn't give him much time to practice - anyways let me know what you think.
Edit: I play, he sings in this!
