I'm doing a Christmas concert with some guys this year and we're doing jazz arrangements of some of the Christmas standards. We've got about 10 songs worked up, some are our own arrangement and some are versions I've heard elsewhere. Anyone have a great arrangement they want to pass on? It will be appreciated. Instrumental or vocal is fine.

Thanks for any input.

It was playing a Christmas party for my company that got me all fired up to play guitar again after a 3 year absence. I love Christmas songs, and my favorites came out during the 50's when Rock n Roll still had that Bluesy/Jazzy flavor. Theres nothing like that Jazzy intro to Jingle Bell Rock, but my favorite is Rock'n Around the Christmas Tree. Silver Bells would sound great jazzed up as would Let it Snow, and The First Noel. For some reason I can't hear a jazzed up Oh Christmas Tree though!

Hope you have a great time with this gig!

Oh yeah, I got the basic chords from a Christmas standard book. Be careful here though, because I've seen widely varying transcriptions from book to book.
