I have been thinking about getting an "electronic sideman" and I don't know what to get, my friend has a Casio keyboard and I figgured out how to program bass/drums and play guitar and sing all at the same time.(complecated, but involves a keyboard on the floor and wearing only one shoe) So does anyone else use keyboards(with your feet, or the normal way) and if so, what kind?

I don't know keyboards. When I was looking into buying a good synth, I couldn't afford it. Once I could afford it, I went with a rack mount Alesis QSR module for my little home studio.
Seems like nowadays... every keyboard has a built in sequencer and even the cheap ones sound pretty decent.

Hi J.R.
I use a Boss DR-5. It might be what you are looking for in sequencers. It is not a keyboard but a box(buttons are designed as notes on the fret-board). The bass guitar and drumsets samples sound nice. And the other instruments are not too bad. You can layer tracks. Program songs and stuff. It's cheaper than a keyboard and I believe it is a lot more practical than keyboards.
I use it as a tool for practicing and also to think up new songs. The price range is $200 to $300 and up depending upon the condition.
Check it out at Musician's Friend to see what it looks like.
