Our last two shows were a perfect example of how to get psyced out or play awsome. Last wednesday, or band played at a party with one other band that really sucked, I mean god awful. WE pretty much kicked them offstage so everyone wouldn't leave. We all played the best we ever did, knowing we were leaps and bounds ahead of the other band. I pulled of an over the head solo and some behind the back stuff, and everything went perfect. This was our warm up gig before the battle of the bands. At the battle o the bands, we played 5th of 6 bands. There was one band that played that the singer and drummer thought was so good that we didn't even have a chance to place. I was confident that we could compete with them, but they werent at all, saying things like we could never beat them ect. The bad vibe started there. We deffinantly got psyced out, and along with the rest of them, I too played my worst gig ever, even though it was only 4 songs. The first and last song showcase my guitar skills, and I totaly blew the solos, our singer forgot to come in a couple of times, and our drummer screwed up too. I've heard it said about sports and such and it's so true, you perform how you think you will lots of times. When we thought we were going to play well, we did, and when we thought we were going to suck, we really sucked.
