This past week I went to the Dorian music camp up at Luther College in Iowa, and took a classical guitar class there. I "performed" a solo last night in front of a crowd of about thirty, first time i've ever played guitar in a performance. I more or less botched it pretty badly, the song was "Allegro" by Mauro Giuliani if any of you are interested. I can say that I never thought my first solo would be a classical piece! My teacher for the week was an unbelievably good classical guitarist, he could play that same piece at around 3 times the speed I can (it was written as 16th notes he could play it close to 64ths), with no mistakes, and he played some other pieces that were unbelievable. Just thought y'all might be interested.

Very cool. If it makes you feel important, the biggest crowd I have played for is about 15 to 20.
And it sure wasnt a classical piece. http://www.zentao.com/ubb/smilies/wink.gif

The first show I ever did was about 500-600 people, I was so nervous my chest was (burning) with adrenaline.
It was a school talent show.
