Im not sure if this tread is the place to post this. But this is a question that will effect my future of a guitarist. I broke my fingers in 7th grade. Im now in.. supposed to be in 11th grade... well i broke my hand and my ring and pinky finger on my fretting hand... I think the doctor said I can get arthritus easy or somethin... but everytime i like... clip my nails, the bending of my fingers really hurts... so far nothin really hurts playing tho, or stretching to far frets.... do u think this is gonna ruin my guitar career???

If Django Reinhardt could do what he did with as many fingers as he had you can make do with some whiney ones if you stick with it I think! just take care of them. do stretches and warm up and all that stuff that sounds stupid.
if all else fails you can play nu-metal. (not that I don't like nu-metal it's just easy)

well... um... i was riding my bike down a slanted road, on the way to school one morning, and i put my foot in the front tire to try and do a riding indo, well i was going REAL fast and i made a sudden stop, fliped over, and used my hand to catch my fall, and the ring finger and pinky got cracked, and i broke them furthur into my hand or something, doctor put them back together without novacain cause i was afraid of a damn needle, that hurt like crazy

I only have 2 and a half fingers on my fretting hand and you wouldn't know it to hear me play. Django Reinhardt was arguably one of the best guitar players ever and he only had 3 working fingers. If you love the guitar enough you will get it under control. Instead of looking at it from a negativ find out what you can do uniquely with what you have. It helps me to do alternate tunings as well. Good Luck!
