GOOD FIX!!

I shouldn't string that baby up for 24 hours after the glue joint has dried.

Moving to the Fine Tuned forum...

Nice job. What kind of glue did you use to put it together?

Hi guys....

I glued her a few days ago so she's had time to settle.........

I used Gorilla glue for the initial repair then I cut a section spanning the repair and put a key block in it glued and clamped.

After that set I shaped the the key before tidying up the repair area with wood filler which was then rubbed down and painted as can be seen.

This is the first time i've ever done this and it was great fun...

All I had to do then after re-stringing her was to adjust the truss rod to allow for the relief in the neck after I'd cut into the neck for the keys......

Anyway thats it..........

I'm no expert, but it looks great. :)

Ah, I see you went ahead and bought it. Did you end up paying the full $100 for it?
