View Full Version : gibson sent me a brand new Songwriter deluxe

I recently had to send my Gibson SWD to Bozeman, Mt, where they do repairs and handle warranty problems.....I had a lot of buzzing going on in my SWD, they fixed that problem but then found out that my guitar had contracted bridge creep, this is caused from bad glue not holding the bridge in place and it slowly started to creep up toward the soundhole, I'm sure it was microscopic cause i never noticed any of that. They gave me the option of having them repair it which entailed re-finishing the top and re-glueing the bridge back down or getting a brand new 2007 SWD..........well I'm sure you can guess what I chose....and it arrived yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!! :toohappy: :toohappy:

here are some pics........notice the binding around the fretboard, my other SWD didn't have any binding on the fretboard. I guess they are doing that now on all the SWD's.....

Sweet! Nothig like real customer service! Great to hear that Gibson is treating people right these days, it's also a great thing that you posted what they did. Lots of folks are quick to complain when things don't go the way they want but few seem to remember to give the kudos to the folks who come through.
