We didn't really get any, but a bunch of chicks came to talk to us in the first band I was in, and they asked us to sign stuff, and some girl asked me to sign her a$$, so I traced my hand on there and wrote inside of it "brenden was here." But yeah, it's about the music.

Whaddya mean guitar isn't about girls? Of course it is, among other things.
I mean, one's muse can come from anywhere, but there's nothing that motivates the rocker in me like girls.
Heck, I'd bet if you combined sex and love, you'd cover the theme of 85% of rock songs.

Most songs come back to love or sex,if you listen,i'd say you could pick out either subject from any song, mainly love though, that ***** messes with your head, prob why a lot of people listen to them, cause then can relate.
Shouldn't play a gig just to gets girls, thats what going out is for. But if you get 1 as a result of a gig you've played, why the hell shoudn't you go with her.
Guitars do have effect on women, esp the 16-20 group,I got off the bus and was walking throught my town to get home and got bout 3-4 perlonged gaises, one in particular just seemed like she was in awe about it,was a bit strange, pretty cute too.

:lol11: Naw, I understand what Fish was saying there. I haven't had a haircut since June '03, and I generally wear ... well, whatever. Today I wore this raggedy Pink Floyd Division Bell concert shirt, and it's always funny to see the people who appreciate this genre, and the people who wish they were as cool as I am :tongue1:.
I remember bringing my acoustic to school several times, and it's interesting to see how some people try to strike up a conversation saying, "yeah, I play guitar", meaning, "yeah, I know 2 chords because my parents have a lot of money and I'm a real emo / punk kid". :mad1: I mean, err ... :unsure1:
As far as the whole girl topic goes, I am waiting to find the right one, because I get seriously involved, and I'm not very good with meaningless love. Took me a long time to get over my first real love, and it will take a very special someone to one-up my first.

Groupies are not about "meaningless love" they are about meaningless *SEX*. And at your age, that's *ALWAYS* a good thing.
You're general attitude/outlook (except for the chick thing) reminds me a lot of . . well . . *me*when I was your age. Kind of scary actually . . .
Also, I love your avatar icon/graphic.

I used to bag chicks just running the soundboard for bands. My record was five in one day.
The last two were a freak accident tho and had nothing to do with a gig. They followed me out of a gas station at THREE in the morning, pulled up next to me at a light, and asked me if I was gonna invite them over for a drink.
I would have made it six, but she showed up while I was still in the sack with the chicks from the gas station and she got a little ****** off. Not real sure since she was married and all . . . *sigh* women.

Went to eat breakfast after a gig once at a truck stop on the way home. Two nice looking girls were at a booth right next to us, so the bass player and I just asked them if they knew what was good to eat there.
Their response: "Us"

WHAT?
Instead of "Got milk?" do you say "Got std's" or "God aids?"
Like my daddy used to say, "Boy, you stick that thing where it don't belong and it'll rot off!"
If some chick loves my guitar playin' and singin' she can buy a cd.
And I've heard plenty of songs about cars too! 409 forever! :toohappy:

Hehehe . . .I saw the Indigo Girls play Christ and Mary Magdoline (sp?) in "Jesus Christ Superstar - A Resurrection" at the Austin Music Hall years ago. It was at the end of SXSW back in the early to mid ninteys. I don't really remember *exactly* when . . . due mostly to all the booze and , errrr, 'other' stuff we were doing back then. Actually, come to think of it, 1982-1999 is pretty much one big (happy) bluuuuuuuur :D

i'm reading The Dirt right now. It's my favorite book in the world!! I just saw Crue in concert, and they're in my top 5 definitely. people can argue that they wer a bunch of crackheads who almost killed themselves (in Nikki's case he DID for a minute) but they got so many girls they didn't know what to do with, and it inspired them to record some great music. so, even if you're not in it for the sex, the experience itself can reap its own benefeits.

I play guitar because it's all about the music!... ya right!
Here's the real ratio;
about the music - 40%
about the "hey nanny nanny"- 60%
(your success stories may vary. Plstrcast & Plstrcast Inc. makes no promisses that any and/or all statements contained herin are law, rule, or otherwise anything but the opinion of the writer).

Playin guitar has definitly gotten girls for me. That's how I got my last 2 girlfriends. If you play at a party full of drunk people, there is normally atleast 1 girl that starts humping your leg after you get done playin.
