the head music teacher at my school. put an end to this awsome songwriting class cause he said that it was taking away from the classical stuff.

We recently had whole lot of bands play and a school "EXPO" event, basically a talent show/open house. Unfortunately the organizer made the mistake of letting a christian band called Amalgam that didn't even go to our school (only one member graduated two years ago) play. Not only that, but they got to play in the best time spot at the end of the night. This caused a huge problem after an awesome 80's cover band and a death metal band decided to boycott by hosting a brat fry. We weren't too happy that our band's name wasn't even in the program though. It turned out to be the best concert we had so far though. Anyways, by the end of the night, any poster that said Amalgam on it ended up reading Analgay.

That wasn't a great story. But w/e.

A better one was probably the time our band was playing in our garage for my sister's graduation party. (Man what gig). We had been playing stuff for a couple hours on and off, not too loud, when the cops show up warning us that some people blocks away called complaining. I immediately started up playing "I Shot the Sheriff" by Clapton in some random key. It was kinda funny. One of the cops laughed, the other got real serious. We stopped anyways. We didn't wanna fight the law, cause the law woulda won.

I saw this lame Christian Metal Band a few years back. They were supposed to play outside in front of this coffe place while the crowd gathered in the immense connecting parking lot. I thought it was an awesome setup for a gig. Unfortunately, I guess nobody brought extension chords since they were forced to play inside behind the huge glass windows while the crowd watched from the parking lot outside. I guess it was cool in a "let's watch Hanibal Lecter rock out" kinda way.

I bet that band teacher is smart enough to spell correctly.
Maybe he was trying to balance the sound.

I agree. At least not without permission.

Our head teacher let us hire a flatbed to put in the field for bands to play on when it was the last day of school for us.

dude that rules, our head teacher would lose it if we ever asked that. At a popular annual gig in my town for local bands, the organisers hire a truck trailer with an open side and just set it up as a stage,

Yeah but that flatbed was only about 5m wide, which made it pretty crammed for a 5-piece to play on. I was trapped behind the singer and had about 4 square inches of floor space, so much for stage acrobatics...
