Wanna figure the music in this flash video out? Beware: some may be offended by this (Hopefully not though).

Hard to be offended when you have no idea where to go check this flash video out.

Pretty funny actually. http://www.zentao.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif But tab this? Come on it's all of two chords repeated over and over again. Work it out. What me ear hears off hand however, is:

E5

--0----
--0----
--9----
--9----
--7----
--x----

D6/9

--0----
--0----
--7----
--7----
--5----
--x----

I'm not sure if or how to reply to this. Ok, after many silent moments beyond its end, I figured it out. Strange, wierd, bizzar, and whak....
DUX: I think you are one the money with the two chords.

I knew the thing was two chords, but I'm not proficient at getting things by ear, even if they are that easy. Thanks again though.

Comeon Bugman. Have you ever listened to a song with your guitar and plucked till it sounded right? It's pretty easy.
You just pluck till you find the root and once you do, you figure out the right chords. With this tune(?) I believe my cat could tab it out without even having a guitar in hand.
As for the movie, it was, well let me say that after watching it, I believe that I am now dumber for having watched it.

bugman,

Getting things "by ear" takes practice and patience. Sometimes it can be very frustrating... especially when your just learning how to do it.

But your ear muscles need the exercise. It's really important to make sure they get a workout. Start with simple things and at least try to figure them out. Like Blazin' said, if you can at least find what sounds like the root note of a chord, then you can hunt around for the "other" notes that fill out the rest of the chord.

Doing it is more important than getting it right. By doing it, you'll get better at it.
