Painting a pedal?

I recently got a crybaby for crazy cheap. The only issue I have with it is it's hot pink color...

If I could, I'd like to paint it. Is there any type of paint that will look good? Can I paint over the current layer of pink? Is this even possible?

If it can't be done well without equipment, I don't mind rockin a pink wah. I would just rather not it I don't have to...

as long as its not chipped and all it will be dead easy. just mask off the top rubber on the foot.
then unscrew the bottom and unscrew the sides where the input and output are. rub it down with a dry cloth so theres no hand grease etc on it when youre about to paint and just go for it.

some metallic car paint would look cool

LOL... It's certainly still crazy fun to play, even though it's pink. That's the only redeeming factor...

not really, depends on the type of finish you want on it. most pedal are matt

but i still think a shiney wah would look cool. just get the colour of a nice car lol

Before I even started this thread, I was thinking metallic blue, if the paint would stick well and stuff. :)

dude, its a pedal!! a pink pedal!!! stop worrying about the proper procedure and just paint random colour stripes and patterns all over it!!. extra points if you do it captain awesome style, using spoons and other cutlery. super extra points if you use your psychedelically painted pedal live and post some pics :D you can even write "rocky" on the side in crayon for a beatles reference!

Dude, it would really gnarly to paint it metallic silver, maybe with some bolts for a textured look, and then get some red paint and do some sick blood splatters. Just hold it up with one hand, get some paint on the brush, and whip it at the pedal...Or, you could be a REAL man, and add an extra layer of even hotter pink.

Haha, I think I'd probably go blind...

I'm probably going to paint it over my fall break, which is the second weekend of October. I'll try to post some pics after I do to let you all know how it turned out.

Yeah man, I don't know that I'm metal enough to pull that off. It'd be cool and all, but not really my style.

Bluesy rock. I'm definately an LP through a Marshall kind of guy, but with more Zeppelin, GnR, AC/DC sounding stuff than your man Zakk. I dig Jimmy Page, Hendrix, Slash, SRV, etc.

Metal's cool, I can appreciate it and listen to a fair bit, it's just not how I role when I play.

Yeah, Blues Rock is pretty sweet. I'm a LP kinda guy too, but I think I'm leanin more towards super-strats now....

Playing with a pink pedal would kinda give you more style. especially if you are playing metal.

People like seeing things that are out of the norm.
