k i have the tab from guitar world written in dime's tip thing and it says its easy but i just cant get it... it doesnt sound right??? can anyone play this song... and how do they do it

Hi yes I can play it...the best way to get the sound of the main riff (if that's what you're looking for) is to use a phaser or a flange...that gets the approximate sound.

As far as PLAYING the riff goes, obviously you should alternate pick the rhythm parts...I guess just start slowly and get faster.

i dont know if its the main riff... its the part right after the chopping noise at the beginning... he plays it up by the 12th fret.... then does this wicked sounding slide to power chord to 3rd fret g on the low e string... you know what i mean???

Dude it's really not that hard just start slow and build up speed slowly, seriously you'll get it soon it just requires dedication.

when you play it... do you do it all flat finger... or do you use the tips of your fingers... cause it looks like dime flat fingers it when he plays it live...

Okay the flat finger / tips of fingers thing is really the same thing.
The reason I know this is because I play that way. He has a bigger arch in his rist than other guitarist the same way I do. (This is all) His fingers are kind of flat/straight whatever you want to call it, but he still is useing the tips of his fingers.
This techniqe enables you to reach the neck a whole lot better in certain positions, but many people don't prefer this way. That is why I would recommend learning both.. like I did. http://www.zentao.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

i just lowered the action on my guitar (epiphone sg) and i can play the first part before he does the slide... its harder to do the lower power chords because its 2 strings to hit instead of one.... no i just gott learn the brigde...lol
