From what i have read your very wise in music. Well i've been playing the git for about three years now, and as every guitarist should know there is always something more to learn in music!!!! I was wondering if you can just help me out, by explaining how to play "You Know You're right" I have the transcribed score (music Book).For their latest Album. By the way i joined "your forum". It seems like i just can't get it into this big head of mine. I will try to tab out all of what i don't understand and therefore ask all the questions i need to understand more.....

( )= circle around note, what does that mean ????? Ok well now for my questions what do the x's mean under all the notes what do i have to do about that????? Can you just explain to me how to play all of that in detail from how to hammer wich notes, and which notes to play and not to play???? I wanna know how kurt did it to get that bell sounding ring in the intro of the song. Thank you for your time please respond asap!!!!!!!!

I'm not the person you asked for but oh well. The () mean that the note is optional. The x's mean to play that string muted...so for those I'd placing your fingertip on the string without pressing down and then playing the string.

Ok, anyway back to you know you're right. The intro is basically Cobain picking behind the bridge on his Jaguar guitar. To achieve this on a normal guitar pick behind the nut and you'll get a plinky sound like that on the album.

For the rest of the tab you play F#5 power chord palm muted. Play open E then hammer on two and strum the 4th fret on the other two strings.

He tends to barre his ring finger across the 4th fret. So basically you have to improvise with what sounds best if you catch my drift.
