hi guys. i'm new to this forum and have a question. i'm a recording engineer and a client has a year old epi les paul custom. i wanted to switch out the stock bridge pickup with a '70s T Top. my problem is that i believe there to be two wires coming out of the stock pups and only one from the T. i haven't yanked them out to check yet b/c this fella sweats like a race horse and never wipes the guitar down. in the year he has owned it all the screw have corroded into rusty mush. i'd like to know what i'm getting into before i start demoing his axe. any ideas? thanks!

The t-top has a braided metal covering, right? Solder that braided part to the top of a pot connected to ground. The inside wire is the "hot" wire.

Anything else?
