So I was looking at my Les Paul and was going to get some new pickups for it when I started thinking how cool it would be to have one of those Fishman Power Bridges on it. I was wondering if anyone has done this or how hard ya'll think it will be. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibson-Custom-Shop-Slash-Les-Paul-Signature-Guitar?sku=517817 this is where I got the idea from and I was wondering where they put the power chip on this guitar. did they just replace the bridge tone pot or what? Thanks for any replies

I put a LR Baggs Xbridge in my strat.

authentic acoustic piezo sound, though it could use a little more reverb to fool EVERYONE!!

The Baggs bridge is passive, so I need an external preamp.

as to fitting it, it was no harder than rewiring a H/B pup with a coil tap that wasn't already there

hmm thats cool but i think you could do more useful mods with the tone controls.

get a push pull pot with treble and midrange cut for one of the tone controls(but for both pickups) then another for bass cut so you have passive fully tweekable EQ on your guitar. then add a coil split and parrallel/series wireing and you officially have the most versatile les paul made.and you could do it for about $80
