Ive got some ideas for songs which I would like to record. Ive found that with Audacity you can change the pitch of the guitar to make it sound like a bass, and I can use software drum machines. My computer's mic sucks though and the computer is very noisy. How could I mic my guitars- acoustic and electric- and not hear my computer buzzing away? Also my voice sucks so does anyone have any advice on making my voice sound better? Voice processors, singing techniques or whatever.

You might look at a line 6 toneport for recording guitar.
If your voice is that bad, you may want to think about instrumental only recordings ;). There is no way under the sun I would be caught singing on a recording; my singing voice is aweful.

I circumvented buzzing computer with cable going from my GT8 (stereo headphones) into soundacard Line In. No mics, no buzzing.
And instrumental music is very fine hobby. :)
