I have found that reading and practicing tablature has helped my hand speed incredibly, as well as give me more confidence that I can play this darn thing http://www.zentao.com/ubb/tongue.gif I have found some really easy to play tablature, like Christmas tunes. Just a few however. I have gone to tons of tab sites, and found that they all have the same stuff, nothing really for the beginner in mind. I was wondering if anyone knew some easy to play tablature other than christmas stuff. Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas is beginning to drive the wife nuts! http://www.zentao.com/ubb/smile.gif

are ya wondering about books or websites? the first book i bought is called Guitar1 FastTRack music instruction. it's uses note reading instead of tabulature but sets it out in an easy to understand ways. it has rockin tunes from yankee doodle to alouette.

Try some Van Halen...

Just kidding...

Here are a few beginner tunes...Pretty Woman, Day Tripper, Surf tunes....Rumble, Misirlou (although the tremelo picking is difficult), Tequila, Wipeout, Penetration, Back in the USSR, Chuck Berry stuff...

These are tunes that you might not be able to do for a while...but are good goals to work toward as a beginner...

lol @ try some van halen!

here's a few more songs to add to the list that are pretty simple for beginners: down on the corner, sunshine of your love, riders on the storm, smoke on the water. also, shuffle rhythms are pretty easy for beginners too. such as bring it on home, bang a gong (interesting twist on accents) and look at little sister.

Sunshine of your love is a great song for a beginner.
