http://www.zentao.com/ubb/smilies/wavey.gif hi molly....welcome---for starters you can go to the bottom of the page & click on INSIDE THE MUSIC....this will take you to STONEDRAGONS lessons.they are very good-thorough + understandable. check them out. also, find your neighborhood music shop and check out their lesson books for beginners...they usually have a bunch. while you're there, ask about taking private lessons-either there or sometimes they know some 1 that will do it on a tutor basis at your home- you can also usually find some beginner books at your local library -keep us posted on your progress & ask as many questions or comments as you like....this is a nice place + every 1 is interested in becoming a better musician and helping others to be the same. good luck.

I agree, just go to your local music store and they should have books there. I can't read chords, they are hard to read. But i know how to read tabs. Tabs are very easy to read and you learn faster. They sell books so that way you can teach yourself how to read tabs and play guitar. That's how i learned!

Hi molly! Everybody else pretty much covered everything. My only advice is to learn music theory. Theres a lot to learn, and its not always easy at first. Stick with it and before you know it, youll be playing in no time. Three chords is a good start! Keep it up!! And most of all have fun with it!
