This is a song that has undergone several transformations as I've been stuck on how its gonna be... I wrote it one way, decided it didn't work, but loved the lyrics and chord progression so kept them for later. I've finally found a vibe and rhythm that I think works really well for it.

Anyway, here are the lyrics...

I Just Can't Picture Her Face

I'd seen her long before, but when she finally spoke
I had to look again, tried to speak but I choke
But now that I'm here I just can't picture her face
I've got to focus my mind, to quicken the pace

Over and over, every time its the same
When I think too much I find I soon lose my aim
If I could just see her every day of the week
You know I don't think I'd find her nearly twice as unique

I'd thought about all the wonderful things she would say
Its kept me up through the night, distracted at day
What I need is a picture to keep by my side
'Cause I can't picture her now, despite how I've tried

Over and over, every time its the same
When I think too much I find I soon lose my aim
If I could just see her every day of the week
You know I don't think I'd find her nearly twice as unique

When she finally got herself set in my mind
It was too late to work, I'd found myself blind
And now that we're friends, I look back and smile
To try and describe her, it sure took me a while

Over and over, every time its the same
When I think too much I find I soon lose my aim
If I could just see her every day of the week
You know I don't think I'd find her nearly twice as unique
