Whenever you feel, like paying me a call
I'll be here waiting, I'll sit through it all
I just keep writing, rock and roll songs
I'll stay here watching, for whenever you fall

Spent all my life, living out my dreams
Spent all my money, that's the way that it seems
Wasn't born on the river, wasn't born into fame
But I know my mistakes, and I think I know just how I seem

You see I'm thinking I know who I am, and I'm thinking I know where I've been
What we need's an idea to show us our places inside this machine
Guess I'll keep on writing, these notes on my arm
I'm thinking I didn't think like this, back when I was only sixteen

So whenever you feel, like paying me a call
I'll still be here waiting, and I'll sit through it all
I've now written ten thousand books, and I've signed all the covers but one
I'm staying here watching out, for that one girl

Dig it man. I like how the stanzas sorta increase the number of syllables as the go one. But the third one you're using a lot more words. That's a cool idea, like the deeper you think about your past and your present the more you have to say. It gives the whole thing a sense of immediacy to it.

Good job.
