Ever feel like odds are against getting a project up to speed?
Anyone have any suggestions... on how to re-kindle things when you have external forces greater than any one person working on a different plan?
Geez I feel like I felt when I was in 8th grade and things were sucking between me and my girlfriend! What if you don't want to aknowledge something that's relatively clear and in front of you... such as everyone is too mixed up in their own lives to be able to do a project on a 100% level?
These are just questions at this point... any input from guys who have been/are in a similiar spot would be appreciated.:(

Depends how much time you've got to sink into whatever it is and how important it is to you. If it's a band that's not clicking then Commandent Powell should be around shortly. If it's a woman then I say she gets with the program or she's losin out on the big stud that you are!

if i knew the answer on how to get a group of people focused on a common goal in music i'd be a millionare in about 5 seconds.
i am in two bands, and have the same problem in both, and it's VERY frustrating. teleT, i'm a very blunt up front person, and i usually just lay my cards on the table.
i think i hurt the feelings of the singer in whitebread. i told him upfront i LOVE playing with him,but if he is is going to book only spoardically, then i may commit to something else. i feel his passion has waned and thats cool , i can understand. but..........just becasue HE isnt interested as he was last year dosent mean I'M not interested in playing.
In my other band, the bandleader wants ME to be the bandleader, and while i have NO problem playing the 'bad cop' i have no desire to run another band. too many headaches, too many problems, too much stress. the drummer and bassist dont care about anything( practicing ,recording etc) and i feel if i use MY motivation techniques i'll just make them mad,and they will care even less.

anyways, enough about my problems! I would put my cards on the table if i were you, shake em up a little, and see where it leads. i am with you though,it REALLY sux when you see the boat is leaking and you are the only one bailing
