I seem to write a lot of em... heres the latest

Don't have music to it yet. I was drunk when I wrote it and had a guitar part but I forgot it. It'll come back though. You know how it is.

Looking for something new
When I'm standing right in front of you
Needing a change
Well I'm here to rearrange
The void you feel inside
I'll bring back what's died

(vocal melody changes here)
I'll make you smile
I'll make you laugh
If you stay a while
You'll never look back
We both know I'm the one

I'll be there for you
If you're there for me
I'll be your glue
If you hold the key
To open up my heart
All we've got to do is start
(Instrumental to release the tension that the vocal melody builds ups)
(Back to original vocal melody a bit slower paced)
Waking up wanting more
Never knowing what's in store
Been going in the wrong direction
To find love and affection
Searching for something obscure
Craving a love thats pure

(Back to the vocal melody that builds tension. Reminiscent of that old Evan and Jaron song I forgot the name of it)

I see the look
In your eyes
Wanting this its no surprise
So tell me how you feel

Don't play games
You're not alone
Don't switch lanes
We're almost home
We'll find out love is real
Just tell me how you feeeeeeel
(Instrumental)
(Fin)

Gives me a strong pop vibe. I dunno. Thoughts?

I'll share another one thats pretty short.

The guitar for the song is just beautiful. I love it.

Sexy DADF#AD tuning.

I feel like I kinda went soft and made it somewhat cute. I love the guitar part so I just want it to be finished I guess.

Never even had the chance
To see what we could be
She left me in a trance
My mind full of debris

Defied my expectations
While still searching for herself
Shattered my convictions
The past now on the shelf

Haven't felt this way
In far too long
Shame I can't stay
Around the worlds where I belong

Can on find love
Always on the run
Must they resort to always having fun
But fun can only go so far
So I'm left to write love songs on my guitar

I really dislike the last verse. I dislike it even more now that I just typed it out. Probably gonna scrap it if not the whole tune and start over.

Although the feeling that inspired the song is just lingering now and isn't as strong.

Disoronno,

I really like the first one. I think the opening is missing a few words.

Like:

(Why do you go)
Looking for something new
When I'm standing right in front of you
You say you Need a change
Well I'm here to rearrange
The void you feel inside
I'll bring back the love that died

That's only my opinion, take it for what it cost you. :)

I think it has some nice potential. Would love to hear the music you hear for it.

why are lyrics so important to people, its a good finishing touch but for me the tune and harmonies make or break a song

I like the music aspect far better but I don't want my lyrics to straight suck.

I'm the guy thats always been known to say, "lyrics are waisted time between guitar solos"

Not to mention I have so many "songs" written and just no lyrics to them.

I'm scrappin' the whole love song vibe though. Not feelin' it.
