I went to Sound Click as suggested but I hit a flaw, it turns out you have to up load as a mp3. I downloaded a suggested program that was supposed to turn my wave file into a mp3. It turns out the wave is really a wma (gotta love Windows)file the convert program won't convert from the wma to a mp3 any here know how to beat this? When it comes to these computers I'm dumber then a box of rocks so any help will sure be appreciated. TIA, Roger :R

I copied this thread in the Red Light District section. Be sure to check for replies in that area also.

I use the Goldwave software and the Razor Lame encoder. You can get free:
http://www.goldwave.com/release.php. Scroll down to "optional downloads" and grab it! "LAME". It will allow you to convert the file.

That or, if you're comfortable doing it, you can E-mail it over to me Kent45trap@aol.com and I can convert it and mail it back to you.

I have a similiar issue with video formats, I think that's one reason my upload is so horrible vid and soundwise at SC and YouTube.

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions, I haven't given up I sent it to a computer friend last night who sent it back to me as a mp3 this morning. But as luck would have it SoundClicks down for maintenance. So I'll have to wait for the air to clear. By the way takes for the offer, BKent, I may take you up on that offer in the future. Very cool

I think I fixed my problem, I was able to upload my song to SoundClick, I think I have to wait for it to be accepted or something before I can post the addy here. At least I think that's what I'm waiting for. It didn't tell me an address to find the sog at so I gues I'm still waiting til then thanks again for your help. I hope to have it up for your approval(I hope) by tomorrow. Roger

Thanks for the heads up on the wav files. I will need to do some converting there, as well.

To get a free convertor (and loads of other stuff), go to www.cnet.com/downloads

I got a convertor there a while back which also does not have a time limit on it like some 'free' software. Just do a search for something like "mp3 wma convertor" and you should get a list of several. The one I got allows you to specify the type of to convert (it does loads) and also the output type.
Unfortunately, cnet is blocked at work otherwise I would have searched for you.
If you can't find one, let me know and I'll contact my missus and get it for you :)
