I see a few of you have your music on the net. (Duh Dave)

Does that cost you anything?

Have you pretty much given your music away to anyone that wants to steal it?

I have some stuff I would like to get out there, but I don't know anything about copyrights and such...

SoundClick.com is pretty good. They have a free service, and then you can pay for more features, better quality etc. For the free service, you can upload as many songs as you want, but they automatically re-encode them at 128Kbs if the original sample rate is higher. Listeners can download the MP3 file, or stream in lo-fi or hi-fi (lo-fi for the dial-up users). You can pretty well set the lisencing how you want on a per-song basis. You either do/don't give listeners rights to play the song for comercial use, alter the song, etc.

I think you can set some songs as free downloads, and others as paid downloads (haven't tried the paid thing myself though - mine are all free).

Soundclick.com is great, I have mine posted there. The site is easy to remember, too. Mine is www.soundclick.com/BrendanS. Simple enough :thumbs: Completely free, unlimited songs, and the song genre charts ... what's not to like :stylin:?

Well, I just signed up, and like Strater, I don't see where you upload your own music. I have My bands, My Stations etc. That looks like where you put other bands music on and radio stations. I signed in as a band...

Confusing...

Never mind... I got it... I messed up when filling out my profile, and it restarted, and I didn't click the sign up as band deal the second time...
