Here's a new song that I wrote today...

A nude day

A day is a day, like a shiny tray
Of freshly served tea…
Smelling the same, this morning game
Of silver lined misery…

But still remember, some sweet and tender
And fond little memory…
When the nude day comes, and the heaven goes numb
Do we still read history…?

[Chorus]
On that day, I’ll ask this question
To the silence inside of me…
But who knows how, and who know why
A nude day’s gonna be

It’s been forever, since you’ve been a defender
Of random originality
Smelling the same, in this evening game
Of crude sexuality

But don’t you try, and don’t you cry
To face your reality
When your nude day cries, your own reprise
Do you still love vanity…?

[Chorus repeats]

Nude day = The Day you die?

It reads very poetically, I really enjoyed the imagery. =^)

Thanks a lot Reags and Tbaby, I saw the comments just now...elmo is happy!

The nude day is the day you finally throw away all your garbs/pretenses and face your reality. To answer you question Reags, the 'nude day' is that moment when one sees beyond all the lies, which is, as you aptly said, the day one dies...

Sam, I hope you'll put some musical accompaniment to the lyrics and post it.

Hey, I dig the lyrics. I can't wait to hear it put to music.

I sure will...right now life is being a little tough on me, but soon as I have some more bandwidth I will post the complete thing.

Hey, I dig the lyrics. I can't wait to hear it put to music.

I have the tune kinda going on in my head, lets see what happens...will take some time though as I said earlier.

Thanks to both of you. This is really encouraging for a new songwriter like me.
