Stray Dog

I write alot of lyrics, and some of them look a bit silly or empty without the music, and I like to think some of them work really well even without the music.
Here's one that I really like...
It's done in the style of some sort of a folk song... It's about a girl called Suzie Lee who didn't really exsist, but she was a real *****!
SUZIE LEE
Suzie Lee got heads a-turning, walking down the street
From the workmen, to the policeman on his beat
But I knew well to stay clear of Suzie Lee
'Cause there was only one thing that could make her feel complete
I once courted Suzie Lee back many years ago
She never gave me any love, she'd never say hello
I thought that she would be just the girl for me
But she said she was delicate, and asked to take it slow
What I didn't know about Suzie Lee was she had another love
But it weren't some other man, and it weren't the lord above
She borrowed all my money just to pay for something else
But I soon found out what it was and it fit her like a glove
My old pal by the name of Jack got taken by her smile
They went off together... and they were gone a while
It hurt me so bad to see someone so close be such a fool
But my old pal he seemed to think that she would be his style
Jack and Sue were a couple till the day that Suzie died
I heard it said from my old friends that he wanted her his bride
But I could see the truth, that he was in misery
Cause Jack couldn't get through to her no matter how he tried
Jack spent money... but he threw it down the drain
He tried to fight for some sort of love, but he fought in vain
Suzie didn't have any left, she'd given it all away
'Cause she had given all her love to my old pal Cocaine
Cocaine took all her love, and all Jack's money too
Gave her all the highs she needed, also gave her the blues
I could tell that she was heading for her grave
But poor old Jack once a friend of mine, he didn't have a clue
Suzie Lee got heads a-turning, walking down the street
From the workmen to the policeman on his beat
I'm glad I never courted Suzie Lee more than a month
Cause Cocaine was the only thing that could make her feel sweet
Oh Cocaine was the only thing that could make her feel sweet
