Anyone know anything about the Martin 15 series? I'm thinking about getting a D-15. My playing style is pretty varied but I love fingerpicking and have also been getting into playing some bluegrass. I was just wondering if anyone owns a D-15 or a model from the 15 series. Anyone know any specifics about how they plays, the pros/cons, ect.

I'd welcome any info you wanna throw at me. I've been playing for a little over a year now and I own a piece of crap Ovation Celebrity CC24. I'm getting tired of it now, thus I begin my search for a good, yet somewhat inexpensive guitar.

Thanks a lot,

Maggie:)

You call almost $1,000 inexpensive? Lol. I must be even poorer than I thought. I have no personal experience with this guitar, but I am sure that any near $1,000 Martin is going to be great. It is all just a matter of what feels and plays right to you, now.

The D-15 is a warm sweet-sounding axe. Very nice.

Its a nice guitar, so the best thing you can do is go try some, see if you like the fit an feel of them.

Thanks, And yeah, from what I've seen as prices for good guitars these days, under $1,000 is looking pretty cheap. :)

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with a J-15. It seems to be everything I need and want.
