O.K, so I have kind of an odd request, but can someone post a vid of how to play the rythym part of a song?
I know it sounds odd, but I cant wrap my brain around the idea, and visual tips always help me.
I understand the concept behind it, so You dont have to waste your time with a overly simple DUDU four beats type deal.
I was just watching Gils showcase entry..and If anyone would like to do a tutorial on the rythym part of CCR's Born on the bayou/ that would be great.
I'd like a song that Im familiar with, so anything from CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or any other classic rock type song would probably be O.K.
A quick explanation of the techniques you're using, when to change chords, etc etc might help me break through this wall Im standing against

I am not much of a teacher, and I haven't played this in years, but I hope it helps you a bit, AP.
Forgive the mistakes and a slighty out G string. If there is any incorrect information in this, let me know. Been a while...

I recently bought a video from http://www.guitarcollege.net/home.html that I found great (jazz comping, but whatever your style is I guess this is also helpfull). I also have a video called Jazz comping of 5 jazz masters from Hot Licks that is good.

Here's a video lesson for Bad Moon Risin' http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/creedence_clearwater_revival/bad_moon_rising_video_lesson.htm
I haven't watched the whole thing, but that might be what you're looking for? (obviously, it's not Born on the Bayou)

That helps out ALOT Bob...Thanks man.
I seem to have alot of misconceptions about certain techniques...you just cleared up alot of my confusion.
I get alot out of seeing how its supposed to be played......how to make the correct sounds and how it looks being played are closely linked for me.
Thanks for taking the time for this..I appreciate it.

Oh yeah..LOVE whisky rockAroller..thats what I am..lol...
Nothin sloppy there, IMO..youre a Monster on that thing....
And I really think Im gonna have to tear this one down to the roots, and build it back up again. Im not really doing anything right.
In the beginning of the vid...you touch on not playing the notes in a linear fashion....and thats EXACTLY what im doing.....
I need to learn to "swing It"...kinda make the notes "dance"..........I havent got that down yet, but without you pointing it out, Id haver never really understood why it didnt sound right.
Again...Great Vid, man......tons of good info in there for me.....appreciate it.
