On the first lesson in the advanced lessons - There is a diagram showing all the notes on the fretboard (without the accidentals) - On the G string you left out "C".

Caught another one - This is in the 7th chords lesson.

"The bb7 is arrived at by flatting the 7 and then fatting it again."

Just spelling on this one. I hope i dont seem like an jerk for pointing out your mistakes.

Hey Finger in your last post you wrote "I hope I don't seem like an jerk" shouldn't that be "like a jerk".

I knew about the neck diagram... figured I'd let that one slide rather than go to the trouble to make a new diagram.

I didn't catch the typo though... I catch them all over the place in the lessons and try to fix 'em as I find 'em.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I read a post called something like "the lighter side" yesterday that had links to wholenote.com. On this site I found some stonedragon lessons on chords and modes. These were some of the best explanations of these modes and the suggestions to play them over a pedal tone were superb.
I learned these modes, but with a different twist:
For each modal position each string has 3 notes two be played (many of the scales have 3 notes on the 6th string -low E, 3 on the 5th, 3 on the 4th, TWO on the 3rd, 3 on the 2nd, 3 on the 1st).
This small change enables another change in practice regimine that can revolutionize lead playing:
One each string, the three notes are notated as Low (L)-closest to nut, High (H)-closest to bridge, Middle (M).
Most guitar players practice scales LMH (progressing up the scale) or HML (progressing down the scale). I teach my student to remove LMH and HML from their scale vocabulary. Instead we learn these various scales and modes using the other 4 combinations: MLH, LHM, etc.
Once this is mastered, a person can change the sequential pattern string-to-string...

It's harder initially, but it pay great dividends.

Here is an example of a 3noteperstring pattern for

Major scale:

--|-----|--R--|-----|--0--|-----|--0--|--
--|-----|--0--|-----|--0--|-----|--0--|--
--|--0--|-----|--0--|--x--|-----|-----|--
--|--0--|-----|--x--|--R--|-----|-----|--
--|--0--|--x--|-----|--0--|-----|-----|--
--|--x--|--R--|-----|--0--|-----|-----|--

Here's that on the lighter side (http://www.zentao.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000460.html) link. I spent some time going through some of this with FINGERPICKINGOOD but I couldn't explain what I didn't know and what I did. Therefore, I'm still stuck.
