Something free to put some simple drum tracks over my demos?

I've heard good things about Fruity Loops.

Fruity Loops is expensive, but it's worth it.
I use it for all my drums.

All it really is though, is a sequencer. You'd need to run a good VSTi through it, such as EZDrummer, which I also use.

You said free, and this isn't free (sorry...$160 all told), but it is a pretty good deal:

I use FL Studio 8 which is fruity loops. There is a free demo version with the save feature disabled, but with the ability to export audio. I just whip up a drum track real quick and export it. No need to save a project file.

There's Hydrogen but from what I hear it doesn't work well in Windows, though if you have Linux it's not a problem.

don't you have to have some kinda sequencer to use EZdrummer? I never really figured out how it worked so it wasn't hwta Id call EZ lol.
I tried the FL8 trial/free version a little before I upgraded my computer from what I seen it was a pretty cool program and with all functions enabled except the save I bet you could figure out how to export or something and save it on another unit to use on you recordings. I plan on installing it on my new laptop I just have to figure out how well it works with Vista 64 bit OS.

Nope, you just find a beat you like and drop it in. It adjusts itself to whatever tempo your DAW is set to. Couldn't be EZer! :D
