I have been really big on the slide guitar and finger picking played by Doug Martch's (Built to spill) on his solo album 'Now you Know". I have been trying to figure some of these out but the syncopation is really throwing me for a loop. I am decent at Travis picking but this seems to be a little harder for me. Here is a link the a video of him playing "Dream", a song I would really like to learn.
The song Dream: If you fast forward to about 3:20 that is when he starts the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrbVSECZGNw
I have also been trying to figure out the song "Stay" from the same album. Again the syncopation is confusing me.

Thanks
