I currently have a large number of backing tracks on my laptop which I use for a duo. My problem is that some are midi, some wav and some MP3. I also have others that are direct from my drum machine to laptop in Wav format. I can change them all to what ever format I want.
When I use different programs such as Nero etc to try and burn them to disc the volumes arent equalizing. This is giving different levels and makes it very difficult when using them live.
The biggest problem is the drums, especially on the drum only tracks from the drum machine, which I record to cakewalk first to get them into the laptop.
I am told there is a simple way to level all the volume, edit etc but all the methods I have tried seem not to work. I'm obviously doing something wrong or just geting lost in the computer guru's expplanations.
