This is a guitar I've had for a few years, and I've been having this problem with the saddle. Here's a picture:

So here's the problem, I like to use light acoustic strings, but for some reason, the pegs either seem to get pushed down too much, or not enough (I'm assuming the strings are too thin, cause I never had this problem with thicker strings). When I try to tighten, the bit of excess string that I originally placed inside is eventually pulled up. I was just wondering if it was OK that the ball of the string is pretty much at where the peg meets, and my pegs are all not evenly "pushed down".
