Thumbs up Hey Kids!

I'm new. I post on other guitar forums, so maybe I know some of 'yall already.

I'm in Gainesville, Florida, the punk-rock capital of the southeastern USA, and home of the Fightin' Gators (that's a college football team, for any non-USA peeps). I'm of a decidedly advanced age (51), play in a bunch of original-material rock bands, and in church. I play guitar and bass, and a bit of mandolin, and a teeny tiny bit of banjo. I'm married and have a couple kids. My daughter is 16 and has taught herself to play bass with only a bit of help and encouragement from me, and my son, 12, says he wants to learn guitar, but we'll see, haha.

And I have waaay more gear than I need.

That's about it. I'll try to play nice.

Welcome to our little slice of cyberspace!
I think you'll find this place to your liking.
Beer's over there in the fridge and don't forget the coaster or the old lady will pitch a fit.
Now sit back and enjoy the show.

His string sizes in 1984 were generally .013, .015-.016, .019, .028, .038, and .056-.060. In the 1970s, his high E could sometimes go as high as a .018!
By the time 1989 rolled around, Rene convinced him to use a .011 or .012 to save his fingers.

Mmm, beeeeeeeeeeeeer.

Thanks man. Have put a ridiculously long post in the "show your gear" thread, haha. Now I have to start backwards through that thread and see what everyone's packing.

Haha, true dat. Most of the stuff wot needs filing isn't work related though, it's band/music stuff. Office wouldn't spring for a a cab to put my personal junk in. I'm lucky they let me keep most of my gear there!

Heh
http://www.google.ca/search?q=Brian+...ient=firefox-a

No forums that I'm a part of, but

Take heed of Stratman and the coasters on the table. I KNOW his Wife, and she would be most ticked if there was a ring stain left! I then I would hear about it from the both of them, then MY Wife would give me crap.

How many 59 maple-neck fender strats do you have around the £1.46 region?

I'am willing to up my price to £1.50!
