There's a guy from Hawaii who LOVES those freekin' Breeder's.

Ditto what Priesty says- Rosewood & Sitka Spruce are a great combo. I have a rosewood/cedar top that sounds good also. That's what the Seagulls brand are made of. A Martin or Taylor will be more $$$'s.

Speaking of which, where did Breedlovelove go?

Very pretty guitar. Looks like a nice price as well. Lot's of folks really like these (from reading posts on various forums). The Harmony Central ratings are pretty high;

Sound 9.2 (6 responses)
Action, Fit, & Finish 8.3 (6 responses)

The other thing that may make the guitar cheaper (although there isn't a huge difference in sound) is that the Rosewood back and sides are probably a laminate, rather than being one solid piece...

actually the back is solid rosewood while the sides are more of a rosewood ply...which is the only real difference and wont have much effect on the tone as you said
