User Ranks and Board Privileges - Jam Session

Here are the member ranks and board privileges as I have them set at this point in time for this version of Jam Session.

Each successive rank includes all privileges from previous ranks, so I'm just going to list those added with each new rank.

Unregistered / Not Logged In (NLI)

Rank = Guest

Unregistered and NLI users can browse the forum, use the search function, use the 'email this page' function (under Thread Tools) and view the public calendar. All other functions are disabled.

Users Awaiting Email Confirmation

Rank = Standing in the Queue

In order to avoid bogus user accounts, newly registered users are required to confirm their email address by clicking an activation link sent in an email to the address used at sign up. Be sure to sign up with a valid email address. Each user account is also required to have a unique email address in order to discourage multiple screen names for the same user.

Users awaiting confirmation can browse member profiles and browse the member list.

The remaining ranks apply to users who have registered, confirmed their email address and are logged into their account.

Rank = New Patron

Privileges = Birthday displayed on Calendar (optional), added to memberlist, can edit user profile, can post threads, can post replies to threads, can download attachments, can rate threads, can post polls, can vote on polls

10 -19 posts

Rank = Club Regular

Privileges = can use signatures, can upload attachments, can upload/link to custom avatar, can send and receive private messages, can post events on calendar, can edit/delete own events on calendar
